A circular crochet movement born in Africa.
Snow Crochet began with a simple observation: tonnes of knitted clothing were being discarded each year, while talented crochet artisans struggled to access affordable yarn and reliable income. We built a platform to close that loop.
The problem
Africa imports vast quantities of second-hand textiles. A significant portion ends up in landfills. Meanwhile, artisans face barriers to materials, markets, and dignified income.
Our mission
Transform textile waste into handmade crochet products, while creating sustainable economic opportunity and supporting vulnerable communities.
Our vision
To build Africa's leading crochet marketplace and circular economy platform — connecting creators, customers, NGOs and corporates around regenerative craft.
Future goals
- Reward token system for donors and recyclers
- Corporate orders & branded merchandise portal
- NGO partnership program & community studios
- Recycled plastic yarn initiative
- International marketplace & export hub
